Apart from being a costly affair, the bigger issue is that of scammers and bots. Now, anyone can pay for the blue tick. So, let’s say a random Joe from their basement created an account named ‘Joe Biden’. Will he be verified as Joe Biden the regular Joe? Or Joe Biden, President of the United States of America?
