  • The company expects the deal to increase market opportunity for security solutions
  • The ServiceNow Armis acquisition deal is expected to close in H2 of 2026

ServiceNow is acquiring cybersecurity startup Armis in a $7.75 billion cash deal. According to Reuters, the 2025 Armis acquisition is aimed at strengthening ServiceNow’s cybersecurity capabilities amidst growing cyberattack risks.

ServiceNow Will Add Armis Features to its Platform

The enterprise software firm plans to integrate Armis security features into its AI-powered platform upon closing the ServiceNow cybersecurity deal. These features include threat detection, device scanning, and vulnerability prioritization, into its AI-powered platform.

ServiceNow expects this move to give it a significant advantage as cyberattacks get more sophisticated. The enterprise software maker also expects the deal to boost its market opportunity for security and risk solutions.

Together with Armis, we will deliver an industry-defining strategic cybersecurity shield for real-time, end-to-end proactive protection across all technology estates,” ServiceNow President and Chief Operating Officer, Amit Zavery mentioned as per CNBC.

ServiceNow buys Armis for $7.75 billion at a time when OpenAI has admitted that security flaws targeting AI browsers with agentic capabilities will continue to be a major risk. The AI lab has developed an AI system to protect its ChatGPT Atlas browser against such attacks.

Heavy Investment in Cyber Acquisitions

ServiceNow has spent heavily on acquisitions in recent months. In March 2025, the software company acquired AI firm Moveworks in a $2.85 billion deal to boost its AI strategy. Other companies that ServiceNow has acquired include security firm Veza, and Logik.ai, a sales automation platform.

This year has witnessed major cybersecurity deals as tech companies seek to improve their capabilities to guard against cyber threats. In March 2025, Google announced that it would acquire cloud security startup Wiz in a $32 billion deal.

The merger, which is expected to close in 2026, will bring Wiz into Google’s cloud division to strengthen its cybersecurity offerings and help businesses manage key risks. Recently, the search giant also expanded its partnership with Palo Alto Networks to support secure development and deployment of AI solutions.

Armis’ Strategic Advantage

Armis secures interconnected devices in enterprises from cyber risks. The startup raised $435 million in November 2025, at a $6.1 billion valuation in a funding round that attracted Alphabet’s VC arm, CapitalG.

At the time of the fundraise, Armis was exploring possibilities of going public either in 2026 or 2027. Its focus was to surpass the $1 billion mark in annual recurring revenues.

The need for what Armis is doing and what we are building, in this cyber exposure management and security platform, is just increasing,” Armis Co-founder, Yevgeny Dibrov noted as stated by CNBC.

News about ServiceNow’s Armis acquisition first emerged earlier this month. Shares of the enterprise software firm dipped 2% in premarket trading. The stock has dropped 12% on December 15, 2025, after Bloomberg News reported the potential acquisition deal.
