Samsung Electronics might bring Vibe coding tools to Galaxy smartphones, Gadgets360 reported. The tech giant is exploring ways to provide users with AI-powered tools that enable them to customize user interfaces and first-party apps to their liking. The timelines for developing Samsung AI vibe coding tools and when the company might start rolling them out remain unclear.

Users to Develop Apps Using Vibe Coding

For Samsung, integrating Vibe coding tools to Galaxy smartphones means users can develop and edit apps or complete system-level tasks without performing heavy coding tasks. The idea of Galaxy AI coding tools surfaced when a Samsung executive said the company was exploring ways to transform smartphones into app development environments.

“Right now we’re limited to premade tools, but with vibe coding, users could adjust their favorite apps or make something customized to their needs. So vibe coding is very interesting, and something we’re looking into,” Samsung’s Head of Mobile Experience, Won-Joon Choi said.

Samsung’s vibe coding feature also creates a “possibility of customising your smartphone experience in new ways, not just your apps but your UX.”

But Samsung’s focus on AI did not start with the idea of integrating an AI app builder in smartphones. The tech giant recently launched the Galaxy S26 series during the Galaxy Unpacked 2026. The agentic AI smartphone came with unique features, including a smarter camera and nitography video capabilities.

Last month, the company announced plans to integrate Perplexity AI assistant into the new smartphone series. Already, Samsung is referring to the new lineup as AI phones, as opposed to smartphones.

What is Vibe Coding?

Vibe coding refers to an app development approach where AI agents use natural language prompts to write, edit, and debug code. The agents prioritize user intent over line-by-line coding. Developers then curate and refine the AI-generated code, which makes it possible to complete programming tasks faster.

Vibe coding tools have become popular due to their ability to empower users with little programming knowledge to build their own projects. Recently, Nothing unveiled “Essential Apps,” which use AI to let users create interactive homescreen widgets with app-like features. Lovable AI app builder is among the leading vibe coding platforms. AI companies like OpenAI, Google, and Anthropic have also released AI models and tools designed specifically for coding.

What Would Vibe Coding Mean for Samsung?

Bringing Galaxy AI development tools to Samsung could push the company’s smartphones to a wider audience. The move could help Samsung achieve its 2026 target of adding AI features to 800 million devices.

By the end of 2025, Samsung Electronics had integrated AI features in about 400 million mobile devices, including tablets and smartphones. Widespread adoption of AI-powered app creation would also reshape the mobile software development industry.
