“Expectations were already high coming into the quarter, but the results still surprised by showing how tightly product momentum, advertiser demand, and user engagement are now reinforcing one another,” Emarketer Senior Director, Jeremy Goldman noted as cited by Mint.
The social media platform also forecasted adjusted earnings before taxes, interest, amortization, and depreciation in the range of $210 million and $220 million. These projections are higher than analyst projections, which stood at $202.9 million.
News about Reddit’s 2026 revenue forecast came months after the social media platform launched the Community Intelligence suite to grow its advertising business. The suite features an AI-powered tool that listens to conversations across subreddits and generates real-time data on what’s trending, how people feel, and how ads are performing.
How Reddit’s Ad Placement Strategy Boosts Revenue
Reddit enables marketers to place ads directly in its subreddit discussion threads. This increases ad spend on the social platform as companies target to reach highly engaged communities in their niches. Brands have a chance to leverage communities that discuss topics that are relevant to their products and services.
The social media platform uses AI on its ad platform to boost marketing campaign creation and management. Some of the features that the platform makes available to users include an AI copywriter for generating ad copy and an image cropping tool.
Reddit announced strong ad revenue growth as the number of daily active unique visitors increased by 19% to reach a high of 121.4 million in the fourth quarter of 2025. The social platform, which uses AI to curate user posts, said its global average revenue per user had increased by 42% in the same quarter.
Which Sectors Contributed to Reddit’s Revenue Growth?
The social media giant reported that revenue in 11 of its ad verticals grew by 50% or more year-on-year. This growth was largely led by the retail, financial services, pharmaceuticals, and technology sectors.
Reddit is taking on Meta after introducing AI-powered Max campaigns. The new service allows users to automate ad campaigns by adjusting bids to realize their expected cost-per-user result.
