Lenovo, NVIDIA Fast-Track Data Center Deployment with AI Cloud Gigafactory

In Focus

  • Lenovo unveiled the AI cloud gigafactory at the CES 2026 in Las Vegas
  • The facility sets a new benchmark for scalable AI factory design
  • Lenovo also unveiled a cross-device personal AI system called Qira

Lenovo has partnered with American AI chipmaker NVIDIA to set up an AI cloud Gigafactory. According to Reuters, gigafactory enables AI cloud providers to deploy data centers faster. The Chinese PC maker unveiled the new AI facility on January 6, 2026, at CES 2026 event in Las Vegas.

Delivering Full-Stack Computing Platforms

Lenovo and NVIDIA are working to deliver full-stack computing platforms. AI workloads are rapidly expanding in scale, complexity, and performance requirements as artificial intelligence accelerates across enterprises. AI cloud providers must deploy gigawatt-scale factories to support large language models, agentic AI, and high-performance computing use cases to keep up with this pace.

In such situations, it matters how fast tech investments translate to operational AI. The Lenovo NVIDIA AI cloud partnership is aimed at helping AI factories meet the Time-To-First Token demand of AI workloads.

“As AI transforms every industry, companies in every country will build or rent AI factories to produce intelligence. Together, NVIDIA and Lenovo are delivering full-stack computing platforms that power agentic AI systems, from the cloud and on-premises data centers to the edge and robotic systems,” NVIDIA Founder and CEO Jensen Huang noted as stated in a statement published on the Lenovo website.

TTFT has become an important aspect in evaluating how fast AI compute investments convert into production-ready AI. Lenovo’s AI cloud gigafactory announcement at CES 2026 comes at a time when tech companies are competing to integrate AI agents in their products. In November 2025, Google added AI agents to its Gemini App and AI Mode to facilitate smarter shopping.

How the Lenovo NVIDIA Partnership Works

The data center program will see Lenovo integrate its liquid-cooled hybrid AI infrastructure with NVIDIA’s computing platforms. This integration will enable AI cloud providers to bring enterprise AI workloads online and shift customers from creation to production within weeks.

“With Lenovo’s industry leading Neptune liquid cooling technology, global manufacturing and service capabilities, Lenovo AI Cloud Gigafactory with NVIDIA sets a new benchmark for scalable AI factory design,” Lenovo CEO Yang Yuanqing said in a statement posted on the company website.

The Lenovo NVIDIA AI cloud gigafactory is part of the tech company’s wider artificial intelligence strategy. Last year, the company’s AI investment drove revenue, enabling it to mitigate falling PC sales.

Lenovo Showcased the Qira AI System

The Chinese tech giant, which manufactures servers, unveiled a cross-device personal AI system called Qira at the CES 2026 event. The system is designed to work across Motorola and Lenovo smartphones, PCs, wearables, and tablets. According to Lenovo, customers can use Qira to access other services, including those offered by travel company Expedia.

Lenovo showcased a foldable smartphone, the first under its Motorola brand, during the event. Like Samsung and Alibaba, the tech company also unveiled an AI glasses concept. Additionally, Lenovo showcased a wearable device supported by an AI assistant. The device, which is being developed under Project Maxwell, will provide real-time assistance to users.
