Reliance Jio has announced a new set of prepaid offerings under its Jio Happy New Year plans, introducing bundled data, entertainment services, and extended access to Google’s Gemini AI platform. According to Gadgets360, the New Year portfolio includes monthly, annual, and Flexi Pack options aimed at users seeking integrated digital benefits alongside standard telecom services. The launch reflects Jio’s continued focus on embedding advanced digital tools into its prepaid ecosystem.
Monthly and Annual Plans Emphasize AI Access and Daily Data Benefits
The newly introduced Jio Happy New Year monthly and annual plans are positioned as high value prepaid options offering daily data, voice connectivity, and bundled digital services. The monthly plan is priced at $6.02 or Rs 500 with a validity of 28 days, while the annual plan costs $43.40 or Rs 3,599 and comes with a validity of 365 days.
Both plans include unlimited voice calling, daily SMS benefits, and eligibility for unlimited 5G data on supported devices. Earlier this year, Jio dropped global vendors to build its own 5G gear to reduce cost.
A key component of these plans is Jio Google Gemini Pro free access, which provides subscribers with up to 18 months of access to Google’s Gemini Pro AI platform. The benefit is available only to users aged 18 years and above and must be activated through the MyJio application.
In addition, subscribers receive access to bundled digital services such as JioTV and JioAICloud, reinforcing Jio’s integrated service model.
Flexi Pack Add-On Introduces Modular Entertainment Choices
Alongside its core prepaid offerings, Jio has introduced an add-on Flexi Pack under the Jio Pro and Flexi Pack new year offer, priced at $1.24 or Rs 103 with a validity of 28 days. The add-on provides 5 GB of additional data and allows users to select one entertainment bundle based on content preferences.
Available options include Hindi, international, and regional packs featuring platforms such as SonyLIV, Zee5, Lionsgate Play, Discovery+, and Sun NXT. In March 2025, Reliance Jio signed deals with SpaceX to bring Starlink satellite internet to India.
Unlike the primary Jio Happy New Year plans, the Flexi Pack does not include access to Google Gemini Pro and is designed to complement existing prepaid plans.
