Google Launches Gemini 3 Deep Think in the Gemini App

Google has formally given AI Ultra subscribers access to its most advanced reasoning model with the launch of Gemini 3 Deep Think in the Gemini app. According to Mint, the Google Gemini 3 Deep Think rollout offers users who perform demanding tasks like complex math, science, and logic-based problems access to advanced reasoning capabilities.
High Computational Reasoning Power
Gemini 3 Deep Think mode comes with substantial computational reasoning upgrades compared to the Gemini 2.5 Deep Think, which launched in May 2025 alongside AI Mode for all U.S. users. The Gemini 3 architecture enhancements allow the AI system to process multiple lines of reasoning simultaneously, which boosts its ability to work through complex equations, multi-step logic problems, and other tasks that require deeper contextual understanding.
“Gemini 3 Deep Think is here. Deep Think is our most advanced reasoning mode that explores multiple hypotheses simultaneously to give you an even more sophisticated output,” Google posted on the official Gemini account on X.
According to Google, the Gemini 3 advanced reasoning AI model showed high performance on some of the toughest evaluation benchmarks, reaching 41% on Humanity’s Last Exam. The AI model also set a new standard in AI-driven reasoning after it registered 45.1% on ARC-AGI-S with code.
How to Access Deep Think Mode
Google says Ultra AI subscribers can access Deep Think Mode immediately. To access the new feature, Ultra users have to:
Open the Gemini app
- Select “Deep Think” in the prompt bar
- Pick Gemini 3 Pro from the AI model options
Google rolled out Deep Think to Ultra AI users weeks after it unveiled the Gemini 3 AI model. The launch was characterized by a major upgrade to the Gemini app and AI Mode in Search. Recently, Google started testing a new feature that links AI Overview to AI Mode in Search, a move that will enable users to conduct in-depth search without switching interfaces
