Google is introducing a “My Stuff” section in the Gemini app for Android. The latest update also features a refreshed homepage and dark theme, the Business Standard reported.
The tech giant also adjusted menu layouts and visual elements as part of the Google Gemini My Stuff hub update. The update will make the Gemini app interface more organized, offering users a smoother experience.
Google’s Gemini Android update navigation drawer now includes the “My Stuff” section. This section collects images, videos, and canvas that users generate using Gemini.
The ‘My Stuff’ hub works alongside Chats and Gems, allowing users to view the last three assets they created in preview boxes. Google brought the “My Stuff” hub to the Gemini app soon after it added Gemini AI to Google TV.
The Gemini app also received several conversation improvements. Google removed the account switcher on the Top-right corner and replaced it with a chat button.
The conversation section now features a dropdown menu with options like Pin, Delete, Rename, and Share. Previously, these options only appeared in the navigation drawer.
Google has made the Gemini app’s redesigned homepage warmer and more conversational. At the top of the page, users are welcomed by “Where should we start?”
The tech giant lists several AI prompts below the text, including Write anything, Create image, Build an idea, Create video, and Deep research. Google already added AI agents to the Gemini app to make shopping easier and faster.
The size of the Gemini label that appears on the top bar has been increased to make it more visible. These homepage updates give the Gemini interface a more structured and user-friendly feel. The Gemini app update also includes multiple changes to the theme.
Key Highlights of Gemini App Theme Changes:
Google has updated Gemini’s image and video generation hub with new visual tools. Gemini app users can upload a maximum of three reference images to make videos that align to specific objects, characters, styles, or scenes.
This update ensures that characters remain consistent, and that they match the style and lighting of the reference image. Google’s Gemini app improvements include an updated tools menu to show which model has been used to generate videos.
The update, which applies to both Android and iOS users’ rolls out immediately and will be available to all Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers next week.
