Inside Google Cloud’s Deal With EQT to Support Enterprise AI Deployment
In Focus
- Google Cloud will deploy AI capabilities to over 300 enterprises in EQT’s portfolio
- The partnership gives EQT access to Google Cloud’s partner ecosystem
- Google Cloud has similar partnerships with Vista Equity Partners and Thoma Bravo
Global private markets firm EQT has teamed up with Google Cloud to accelerate enterprise AI adoption. EQT’s partnership with Google Cloud will bring AI capabilities such as Gemini Enterprise and cybersecurity tools to more than 300 companies in the private equity firm’s portfolio. In the future, these companies will receive early access to selected Google Cloud AI products.
Why is EQT Partnering With Google Cloud?
Demand for AI expertise has risen significantly as enterprises rush to integrate the technology into their workflows. The private equity partnership with Google Cloud will give companies in the EQT portfolio access to the technical support they need to deploy and customize AI technology with ease.
“Through the partnership, EQT will provide its portfolio companies with streamlined access to technology and expertise to help them more rapidly build and deploy AI agents across their businesses,” EQT noted in a statement published on its website.
Google Cloud noted that enterprises need to leverage AI technology to provide better outputs for customers.
“Agentic AI presents an important opportunity for businesses to operate more efficiently and ultimately to deliver better outcomes for their end customers,” Google Cloud’s Chief Product and Business Officer, Karthik Narain noted.
How Will the Google Cloud Support EQT in AI Roll Out?
Google engineers will collaborate with the AI transformation team at the private equity firm to support AI adoption among enterprises. EQT, along with its portfolio companies, will have direct access to Google Cloud’s broad partner network. The network includes over 330,000 specialists drawn from leading consultancy firms including Deloitte, KPMG, Capgemini, Accenture, and McKinsey.
“By partnering with Google Cloud, we are expanding access to the technology, architecture, and expertise our companies need to accelerate AI adoption responsibly, and at scale, while helping management teams future-proof their businesses to be more adaptive, resilient, and competitive in an increasingly AI-driven economy,” EQT Co-Head of Private Capital in Europe & North America Bert Janssens noted.
OpenAI took a similar approach earlier this year when the company partnered with consulting firms to roll out its Frontier Platform. Through the partnership, OpenAI engineers work with consulting teams to train staff in companies and support the implementation of AI agents.
How Else Will the EQT Deal Benefit Portfolio Companies?
In addition to accessing the technology and expertise required to effectively build and run AI agents at scale, EQT portfolio companies will get a chance to sell their products on Google Cloud’s Marketplace.
They will also benefit from expanded enterprise reach through Google Cloud’s co-sell initiatives. This is not the first AI deployment partnership for Google. In April 2026, the tech company signed a deal with Vista Equity Partners and Thoma Bravo, giving their portfolio companies access to its AI products.
