CRED has taken another step into the automobile space by allowing members to sell their used cars directly through its platform. According to Inc42, CRED has partnered with Cars24 and Spinny to sell their used cars on its platform.
CRED’s used car selling feature is now live under its Garage section, offering users a smooth and trusted experience when parting ways with their vehicles. As per Cred, the users can avail a free car inspection and an estimated value of the car after answering a few questions on Cred’s Garage.
The company said, “There’s no paperwork or extra steps required – once the car is inspected and the offer is accepted, the partner handles the entire resale process, including ownership transfer.”
CRED Garage was initially introduced as a vehicle management platform, enabling users to store digital copies of their car documents, track challans, receive service reminders, and more in September 2023. With the new upgrade, CRED is transforming this tool into a complete automotive ecosystem. CRED’s car selling update integrates car valuation, doorstep inspection, and final deal closure.
This development comes as more consumers seek hassle-free and reliable ways to manage their vehicles online. CRED, already known for its premium user base, aims to make the process of selling cars more transparent and convenient for its members.
To use CRED’s used car selling feature, users need to register their vehicle on the app through the Garage services tab. After that, CRED offers an instant valuation based on the car’s condition, model, and market demand. If users agree to move forward, a doorstep inspection is scheduled.
The platform then connects the seller to verified buyers, ensuring that the offer made is competitive and backed by market data. Once both parties agree, the deal is finalized with support from CRED, which also handles the transfer of ownership and payment.
This new service brings CRED into closer competition with other players in the used-car market, such as Cars24 and Spinny. However, CRED hopes its strong reputation for privacy, service, and ease of use will set it apart.
With CRED Garage already helping members with document storage and challan tracking, this expansion into car sales indicates the platform’s broader vision. It’s not just about credit card payments or rewards anymore—CRED is steadily building an ecosystem of premium services aimed at the urban, digital-savvy consumer.
CRED’s car-selling update makes it clear that the company wants to solve real pain points for its members, especially those involving high-value decisions like buying or selling a vehicle. By adding CRED’s Garage services, such as car sales, the platform is turning into a one-stop shop for auto management.
CRED may continue to build more tools into its vehicle management platform in the coming months. Features like insurance renewal, roadside assistance, and new car purchases could be logical next steps. As it expands, CRED is likely to focus on keeping the user experience seamless, just like it did in the credit and e-commerce space.
In a market where trust and ease of transaction are key, CRED’s used car selling may well strike the right chord with its high-trust, high-engagement user base.
