Cloudflare CEO Matthew Prince further explained that the bot-management feature file had “doubled in size” and was distributed across the network, triggering subsystem failures. His comments reaffirmed that the fault originated from a configuration process rather than an external threat. Earlier this year, Cloudflare unveiled a tool that keeps bot crawlers from accessing online content without authorization or compensation.
