BGMI removed from Play Store

The news of the Google Play Store removing BGMI came as a huge shock for BGMI lovers and the Indian gaming community. With respect to the intense craze for the game, the news came as a huge blow throughout the country. However, it is unclear why Google Play Store removed BGMI from the app store. Krafton’s other mobile Battle Royale title, NEW STATE Mobile is still available for download for Android devices.

Many BGMI players from across the country are in for a surprise after knowing that Google Play Store has unexpectedly removed Battleground Mobile India. Only recently, the game collaborated with K-Pop Group Black Pink to host a virtual in-game concert. During the coverage of this piece, the game was still available to download on the App store. But, upon searching for the game on the app store, Android users can see no results being displayed on the screen.

Clicking on the “Get it from Google Play” button on the official BGMI website also redirects to a URL not found error, indicating that the game is currently unavailable on the Play Store.

About Battlegrounds Mobile India

BGMI is one of the most played games ever launched for Indian players. The game is so popular that its esports tournament was broadcasted live on national television. The event got massive viewership but the game’s removal from the play store doesn’t look good for Indian esports.

Neither Google officials nor Krafton, the developers of the game, have come up with any statements. And there is no information about the BGMI ban from the Indian government.
