Anthropic enterprise wins continue after the AI developer signed a deal with Germany-based global insurance firm, Allianz. TechCrunch reported that the latest deal paves the way for the American AI lab to take responsible AI to the insurance industry.

How is the Anthropic-Allianz Deal Structured?

Anthropic’s enterprise AI deal with Allianz is structured into three initiatives. Under one of the initiatives, the AI lab will make its AI-powered coding tool, Claude Code, available to everyone working in Allianz.

The Anthropic-Allianz deal will also see the two companies collaborate in developing custom AI agents for the insurance giant. The two companies will build AI agents that can execute multi-step workflows to support employees.

With this partnership, Allianz is taking a decisive step to address critical AI challenges in insurance. Anthropic’s focus on safety and transparency complements our strong dedication to customer excellence and stakeholder trust,” Allianz SE CEO Oliver Bäte noted as cited by TechCrunch.

The AI lab will also support Allianz in developing an AI system that can log AI interactions. The system will also keep its AI efforts transparent and easily avail information for regulatory purposes.

Anthropic AI models insurance deal comes as the AI developer moves to open new offices in Munich and Paris as part of its global expansion plan. Anthropic is expanding its global workforce to meet growing demand for Claude AI large language models outside the U.S.

Expanding Enterprise AI Footprint

The deal with Allianz enables Anthropic to bring AI to the insurance industry as it continues to expand its enterprise AI footprint. Anthropic had signed a similar deal with Deloitte in October, 2025.

With Deloitte’s enterprise AI investment, the AI developer will make Claude accessible to the 470,000 employees working in the consulting firm and develop industry-specific AI solutions. The company also announced a sizable deal with IBM.

In December 2025, the AI developer bagged a $200 million deal to bring its AI models to Snowflake and its customers. In the same month, the AI research firm cemented its stake in enterprise space after entering a three-year partnership with professional services company, Accenture.

The deal involves training Accenture’s 30,000 employees on Claude Code and making coding tools accessible to developers in the consulting firm.

Anthropic’s Growing Enterprise AI Market Share

A recent survey by Menlo Ventures showed that Anthropic currently controls about 40% of enterprise AI market share. The AI research lab faces stiff competition from Google and OpenAI. In October 2025, Google unveiled Gemini Enterprise, bringing its AI to corporate workflows.

OpenAI also offers an enterprise version of its chatbot ChatGPT, which it unveiled back in 2023. In December 2025, OpenAI reported that enterprise use of its AI tools had surged significantly over the past year. The company said ChatGPT message volume had grown 8x since November 2024.
