Airtel Partners With Adobe to Offer Free Adobe Express Premium

In Focus

  • Airtel offers Adobe Express Premium free for one year
  • Nearly 360 million Airtel users will be eligible across India
  • Partnership strengthens Adobe’s AI-led creative ecosystem

Bharti Airtel has entered into a strategic partnership with Adobe to provide Airtel users with free access to Adobe Express Premium for 12 months. As reported by The Indian Express, the free Adobe Express Premium offer is available to Airtel’s mobile, broadband, and DTH subscribers across India.

The initiative highlights Airtel’s continued focus on enhancing customer value through digital services. It will also enable Adobe to expand its footprint in India’s growing creator economy.

Activation Process and Feature Access Explained

Eligible users can activate the Airtel Adobe Express Premium offer through the Airtel Thanks app.

  • Users need to log in to the app.
  • Locate the Adobe Express Premium benefit under the rewards or benefits section.
  • Complete activation using an Adobe account. No payment details are required.

Once activated, users will gain full access to premium features, including thousands of professional design templates and AI-powered image and video editing tools. The subscription also includes 30,000 professional fonts, 100 GB of cloud storage and more than 200 million Adobe Stock assets. It also provides monthly generative AI credits designed to support regular content creation.

Role of AI and Mobile-First Creativity

The offer aligns closely with Adobe’s expanding focus on generative AI-driven creativity. Adobe Express integrates advanced AI capabilities such as background removal, text-to-image generation, and automated design suggestions. These features are supported by Adobe’s recent launch of the Firefly mobile app, which enables users to create AI-generated content directly from smartphones.

By making Adobe Express Premium free for Airtel users, the partnership supports mobile-first creators, small businesses, students, and social media professionals. This will give them access to fast, accessible design tools to produce high-quality content across platforms.

Adobe’s AI-focused Strategy

The Airtel and Adobe partnership also fits into Adobe’s broader strategy to strengthen its AI and marketing technology portfolio. The company’s recent acquisition of Semrush reflects its ambition to integrate content creation, performance marketing, and generative AI capabilities into a unified ecosystem.

Offering Adobe Express Premium at scale allows Adobe to introduce its AI-powered tools to users who may otherwise rely on simpler alternatives. This move becomes increasingly important amid increasing increasing competition from platforms like Canva, which continue to attract users with intuitive interfaces and cloud-based collaboration features.

Airtel Retaining its Customer Base

Airtel’s free Adobe Express Premium offer points to a shift toward service differentiation through digital ecosystems. As competition intensifies with new connectivity models, such as Starlink preparing for potential expansion in India, telecom operators are under pressure to retain users through bundled digital benefits.

Offering creative software as part of a telecom subscription reflects a broader industry strategy to enhance user engagement, reduce churn, and increase perceived value beyond data and voice services.
