AI coding startup Lovable says its user base is nearing 8 million. According to TechCrunch, this represents a major leap from the 2.3 million active users the company said it had in July 2025.

Lovable CEO Anton Osika said 100,000 new products are built on the Lovable vibe coding platform daily. Combined, these stats reflect the startup’s rapid growth.

How Much has Lovable Raised and What is its Valuation?

Founded about a year ago, Lovable has raised a total of $228 million to date. This amount includes the $200 million funding round the company closed in June, 2025 that valued it at $1.8 billion.

New investors reportedly want to invest at a $5 billion valuation. However, CEO Osika said the platform is not experiencing capital constraints at the moment. Lovable became the fastest-growing SaaS company after it reached $100 million in ARR in 8 months. The company offers free and paid subscription tiers to customers.

Tech companies are competing to build platforms that enable a wide range of AI integrations. In July 2025, Google started testing its AI vibe coding app, Opal. The coding tool helps users create mini web applications by describing what they wish to create in plain language.

Vibe Coding Sustainability Concerns Emerge

As Lovable records an 8 million user growth, concerns over the sustainability of the vibe coding boom in the long-term continue to emerge. Recent research by Barclays and Google Trends data showed traffic declines on leading vibe coding services.

Barclays analysts showed that as of September 2025, traffic to Lovable had dipped by 40%.

“This waning traffic begs the question on whether app/site vibe coding has peaked out already or has just had a bit of a lull before interest ramps up,” Barclays Analysts stated in a note to investors.

Despite the sustainability concerns, Osika argues that vibe coding retention is still strong. The Lovable CEO cited over 100% net dollar retention, which means users increase their spending over time.
