Risk, Resiliency, and Supply Chain Modeling

This paper first examines why existing supply chain management (SCM) practices do not naturally develop resilient supply chains and why some of the existing SCM processes are not suitable for addressing such risks and required responses. It outlines the general concepts of SCRM and SCRes, then focuses on the usage of supply chain modeling to improve the effectiveness of risk analysis and response planning. It concludes with a summary of the benefits of SCRM supported by modeling.
